There is no doubt that Rome is one of most (if not the most) romantic and cultural capital of Europe. An invigorating blend of ancient history, including its architecture, and fabulous modern attractions has never failed to draw millions of tourists every year to this cosmopolitan destination.

Rome is also one among the early civilization in ancient history that has a blooming settlement with its architecture and governance. The city was also blessed to have great leaders and in fact Rome conquered neighboring areas. Today, travelers come from around the world to witness Rome and see all the remnants of days gone by that may be in ruins, but provide a glance into the past of those that once called Rome home.

Rome is filled with beauty in every direction you are facing. Along with it is their marvelous architectural design. Rome is indeed a home to many fabulous attractions that will give each member of your family the joy and the comfort that they will talk about for years to come. As you pass through the alleys, streets, and passageways you will witness how marvelous the historical sights in Rome. Rome in itself is considered as an open air museum. Rome has much to offer not only in beauty but also in history. From early Christians, to the movement from paganism into Christianity, to gladiators and sea battles, and from rulers to slaves there is history all around you that is there for your family to embrace and explore.

From the early but rich civilization, marvelous iconic structures such as the Coliseum, Pantheon and The Forum still dominate is still the reason why Rome are very appealing to travelers. Since the early civilization they have stood the test of time and are a tribute to the cleverness and excellence of early Roman engineering and architecture. However, with a heritage and history that stretches back almost 3,000 years there are many more significant buildings still standing from other ages, particularly the renowned Italian Renaissance period from the 14th to 16th century.

Starting at the Via Sacra outside The Forum it is likely to take in most of ancient Rome s major attractions by foot within six hours and ending at the Circus Maximus. There are different possible routes that you can take in all the major attractions, as well as having the opportunity for a well deserved break at a little bar just outside the Coliseum, before setting off again on this pleasant walkway. It is really advisable to tour Rome by means of walking so that you won’t miss a single spot. Mostly concentrating on the Roman period of Caesar but also taking in other significant eras of Roman rule, this walk will present a multitude of marvelous photo opportunities.

For those who love of Renaissance and Baroque architecture, other walking tours can be joined that take in some of the best that Rome has to offer. Ranging between three and seven hours the pace is considered leisurely and if undertaken on a pleasant sunny day, it is the only way to see Rome.
